They say fluoride is great for your teeth. Ok yeah, but, what about the rest of your body? You can ingest it if you aren't careful but why risk that? Even if you don't ingest it, it still goes into your bloodstream and is very toxic. As I've talked about (or maybe haven't talked about it but will talk about it now) I started to educate myself on eating better and all that other fun stuff and I was watching a few documentaries that have talked about fluoride and other harmful chemicals introduced to your body via teeth. The movie I'm talking about is "The Gerson Miracle". It talks about fluoride and also talks about the meta fillings they've put in peoples teeth which contains mercury which is very toxic. I thankfully have no metal fillings but if I did I know of a dentist that could safely remove them for me in a safe and non harmful way. Now here is what I use for my homemade toothpaste:
I make up a small amount not any type of of measuring just a small amount of each until it's a paste and add the mint to desired taste. It cleans better than regular toothpaste hands down and is chemical free. It does take a while to get past the bitterness of the baking soda but it's well worth it.
- Coconut oil for whitening
- baking soda from sprouts for cleaning
- organic peppermint mouth spray from sprouts for fresh breathe and to minimize the bitterness of the baking soda.
